Edgar Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe (Boston, on January 19, 1809 - Baltimore, on October 7, 1849) was a writer, poet, critic and American journalist generally recognized as one of the universal teachers of the short statement, of which he was first one of the medical instructors in his country. He was an innovator of the Gothic novel, remembered specially by his stories of terror.
